Sakura Matsuri

On May 1st & 2nd, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is holding its annual Sakura Matsuri festival. Yes, I just realized the last two words in that sentence are redundant. Anyway, Sakura Matsuri, or Cherry Blossom Festival, celebrates Japanese culture. There will be traditional Japanese music and dance, tea ceremonies, Taiko drumming, and Ikebana, the Japanese art of Flower Arrangement, amongst many events. AnimeNEXT may also have their touring manga library available. There's also a J-Lounge, where you can enjoy music from the land of the rising sun. Picture this event as an anime convention for otaku and non-otaku alike. See ya there!
